First Lady Akie Abe Visited the Communication Center

Mrs. Akie Abe, the wife of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, visited “Fukushima Offshore Wind Communication Center” in Iwaki Lala Mew on August 7th. She also visited temporary houses in Iwaki city of Fukushima prefecture and inspected several projects for restoration of Fukushima. Guided by the center staff, she spent about an hour to observe scale models of wind turbines, panels to explain the demonstration project, video clip records the construction and monitors of observation data.

Mrs. Abe showed her interest in the project and asked how many homes can be powered by the facility. She was accompanied by Ms. Masako Mori, a member of the House of Councilors, Mr. Satoshi Suzuki, a Fukushima prefectural assembly member, Mr. Junzo Ono, a member of the municipal assembly and four others.
