Participated in the 3rd REVIVAL OF FUKUSHIMA Renewable Energy Industrial Fair 2014

"The 3rd REVIVAL OF FUKUSHIMA Renewable Energy Industrial Fair (Hereinafter referred to as Industrial Fair 2014)" was held in Big Palette Fukushima from December 3rd to 4th in 2014. According to the organizer, 6,080 people visited the venue in two days. Fukushima offshore wind consortium participated in the exhibition to introduce the world's first offshore floating wind farm demonstration project broadly to people in and out of Japan. Approximately 1,080 people visited the exhibition booth of the consortium in two days.

At the booth of the Fukushima offshore wind consortium, a large display showed the movies of the offshore floating wind farm, the construction record of the first phase of the demonstration project and the power generation of the 2MW wind turbine. In addition, the booth displayed a scale model of the semi-sub floater with 2MW downwind turbine and panel to show how three column semi-sub floater for 7MW hydraulic drive wind turbine was towed. With them, many people from the public learned the mechanism of the floating offshore wind farm power generation and felt how big the offshore wind farm floaters. At this exhibition, the poster was shown to introduce Iwaki Communication Center, Soma Display Corner and Tenjin Misaki Observation Corner for people from Fukushima to become familiar with the project.

During the exhibition period, Professor Ishihara of the University of Tokyo, the technical advisor of the consortium, gave a lecture titled “the Challenge to the World’s First Offshore Floating Wind Farm”.
